Founded in 1985 by Andy McDonald, Citi-Sprint has ever since been providing inner-city delivery services in Cape Town.
Over the years national and international courier services have been added to offer the client a comprehensive choice of logistics solutions, and certainly helped the company secure top honours in 1994 as the local winner in the Small Business Division of the Enterprise of the Year competition.
Citi-Sprint is quite unique in its offering to clients of one service provider and therefore one account for both messenger and courier requirements. Services include a 60-90 minute peddler service within the CBD and Waterfront, a same-day service across the Peninsula, and a special service for ultra-urgent deliveries. Citi-Sprint queues at the bank, the embassy or SARS, and even collects the post daily. On call 7 days a week, including all public holidays, Citi-Sprint does not get sick, take leave, have vehicle accidents or any personnel issues.
Providing a truly personalised service is a philosophy that the company lives by on a daily basis, and since many members of the Citi-Sprint team have been with the company for a good few years, strong business relationships have been forged over time between clients and staff.
Outsourcing one’s non-core business to specialists in their particular field has become the norm in most businesses today. This is exactly where Citi-Sprint adds enormous value to any organisation and its bottom-line.
